The individual will work in the Treasurers department, with
responsibility for managing the Commercial Paper desk, overseeing the
marketing and distribution of Prudential's commercial paper programs to
institutional investors (PruFunding - $9 billion A1+/P1 program and PFI
- $1 - 3 billion A1/P2 program), including managing the relationships
with our direct short term institutional investors as well as managing
the P&L of Prudential Funding, LLC through the management of interest
rate risk generated by the funding process. This individual will also
support the Head of Capital Markets in relation to PFI's long term debt
issuance and long term debt program management. Additional
responsibilities include:
- Managing the firm's daily liquidity position and tactical liquidity
plans.
- Frequent interaction with Prudential's debt related capital markets
banking partners (Investment Banks and Commercial Banks).
- Oversee the administration of the share repurchase process.
- Compliance oversight for commercial paper and medium term note
activity.
- Supporting the Vice President, Head of Capital Markets Group, on
ad-hoc corporate finance requests.
- The individual will be responsible for two institutional sales people
and will actively be involved in the daily CP sales process. An analyst
supporting the long-term issuance process will also report to this
position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 10 years + of experience
- Experience related to the pricing and sale of commercial paper (3a3 or
ABCP) including management of sales people
- Treasury related experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal/sales skills
- Thorough understanding of financial markets and concepts
- Ability to function cohesively in a 'team' environment
- Strong organizational, time management and presentation skills
- Strong executive presence, ability to interact effectively with senior
management
- Limited travel may be required in addition to relationship meetings in
NYC
- Series 7 and 63 required, series 24 desirable
